Mega release - 8 new

New Release time at Goldie Locks!
I have 8 hairs and two updates for you this week!

Lady - Perfect anywhere, this high bouffant is ultra couture.
Kitten - Smouldering and sexy
Aisha - This long and lovely style features a high ponytail headpiece
Rockstar - a slightly droopy mohawk - I knew I would do one of these sooner or later! :)
Elizabeth - A cute medieval updo featuring tons of braids.
Rebecca - A simple ponytail, instant classic for around the town.
Rebecca II - is the Rebecca with two pretty braids weaved into the ponytail.
Natalie- Sports two long and lovely pigtails.

Update #1: I have added two more hair packs to my selection, about 12 textures total. The new ones are White Tipped and Snow White Tipped, as requested by a customer. Each pack has the baseline color, plus red, blue, purple, pink, black, and raven tips :). I think this ups me to about 95 colors total *falls over*.

Update #2: There is an issue with the Nantli Xolal sim (where my store is on). There is incredible lag spikes, usually as there are more people tping in and out. A restart doesn't fix, its an internal server issue on LL's side. To keep down a lot of the issues I have limited the allowed number of people in the store sim to 18 at a time. Please bear with me through this.

Bad weekend - no new release

Well I lost internet for a good 6 hrs on Sat, so I was unable to finish up and get out my hair release this week. There will just be a mega release next week. :)

In addition there is something wrong with the Nantli Xolal sim.... I know, and I have talked to LL support. They say its a known problem and a fix is coming this Wed *sighs*.... That really doesn't help me when the sim either crashes 3-4 times a day or is just slow as molasses the rest of the time TODAY (and the entire weekend for that matter). I am a bit tired with dealing with it, especially when the sim crashes and you don't even realize it till 20 min later cause chat still works.

Group IMs: I know there is an issue with group chat and people calling out letters for the lucky chair. For now I have started a Goldie Locks Cafe group for the casual chatters to move to and still get updates. I am on the fence with the Subscribe O'Matic, want to research it a bit more to see if its want I want to use.

Three new ones!

Its been a while since a new release, hasn't it?
Mini update: I installed 7 camping chairs, 2 sets of three with womens hair and 1 chair for the men (I know all you men get a bit neglected on the freebies here in SL fashion-wise!)

What happened to SL?

Well I finally make it back from a trip and happily log in to find.... about 15 ims from people missing hair they purchased. To top THAT off, it seems as though IM to email is on the fritz too, because I am missing a bunch of messages (from additional messages people have sent).... After logging in I get about midway through remedying all the bad inventory transfers, when my ability to transfer stuff stops working too. And now I cannot get back in!!! For crying out loud, what happened to SL???!?

To my customers: I will fix any 'bad' purchases, please just IM me and keep IMing me if you don't hear back from me :)

Well this is annoying!

*****UPDATE* As of this time the build has been removed by the builder. I am just glad this experience is over.******

Well I always figured that I would be copied on what I made for hair... nope, my first issue is a structural build of mine. Remember the Chichen Itza build I made for the Mexico Board of Tourism on the Visit Mexico sim (previous post down below)? It was done to promote the vote for Chichen Itza as a real life new Seven Wonders of the World, a worldwide vote will determine the new list on 7/7/07. Well, my build and all its little details was neatly copied by a oscarpc21 Khalifa on the Mexico sim. Details and pics are below.

The background is that I was contacted by an Ektor Carnell a while back in June asking if I would sell him the pyramid to place in his own sim Mexico. I said no, it belongs to the Mexico Board of Tourism and I have no right to sell it (since I was contracted to do that work). I thought that was the end of it. Well today I log in to find that a chinobi Boa had griefed the Visit Mexico sim and was banned as a result... blocking access to the pyramid and shouting at everyone. So as I was chatting with the project lead a few people tp in really quick and tp out, one after taking a picture. We thought it was weird and we linked them back to the Mexico sim, so we went to check out the Mexico sim... and wow... every little detail on mine is replicated except for the inner temple. I originally thought they had taken the texture as well since its so blurry, but on closer inspection its not the same. Just... kinda shocked, so of course I was a bit upset :) so after snapping a few pics we confront Chinobi (El Presidente of the Mexico sim), much yelling back and forth (I might post the chat logs later, still undecided on that). And in the middle of it he deletes the pyramid, but later on I find out its back up again.

All in all his justification seemed to be that he's just copying the RL pyramid not my SL one, and since I am not mexican for some reason I am not allowed to recreate the build (or speak with him for that matter). *rolls eyes* So ya thats my drama filled evening... yay. To be honest I don't care if they recreate the chichen itza, its not the point, the point is a good majority of the details I put into it got copied as well, and thats just ridiculous.

Well I promised I would make up not releasing anything in a while... so I have nine new styles for you!

Oleander - The double pigtail version of Astrid
Monique - Super sexy and choppy, great for a night on the town.
Illusion - Another of the fantasy style super longs, three banded rings hold this hair in place.
Sprite - Uber cute and short pigtails!
Kate - Saw this cute little updo in a movie.... the hair is pulled back into a tight bun and then tied once again to get this unique look.
Onyx - Choppy and flexi, this hair looks and moves beautifully!
Madison - Waist length hair for a seductive look.
Madiera Short - the short version of the Madiera super long hair, by customer request.

I been busy!!

Well I know that there hasn't been much released this month, thats about to change with a release in a few days... BUT I wanted to show you why I've been so busy! :)

First - I have acquired a new sim on 4/24 called Tzopelic Chantli and started working on developing it into another rainforest themed sim. I have a bunch of renters in it already and its coming along nicely. I also made Nantli Xolal a commercial only sim, so the lag is a bit better with less script and object load.
Next - For the last 3 weeks or so I have been working on a recreation of the Chichen Itza build, specifically the El Castillo pyramid, for the Mexico Board of Tourism. That opened up on Sunday 6/10 and has been doing pretty well. I made the pyramid and cenote (collapsed limestone cave) for it. It was a fun experience! Check it out if you are interested... its the Visit Mexico sim, and vote for Chichen to be one of the next 7 manmade wonders of the world.

Add to that a business trip over the last week and a fashion show on the fly and I have been one busy little hair designer! But no worries, new stuff is coming soon!

3 New Ones!

Just three for y'all this week, I was experimenting a bit and these were the only ones that 'made the cut' so to speak.

Vera - a cute lil bob just below the ears with little wisps framing the face.

Lilith - This hair is just wonderfully styled, lots of variation and texture in the back. Falls down to the mid back with two layered ponytails held in place with barrettes. My favorite of this batch.

Felicia - This hair is pulled back in a knot with curly hairs falling to just below the shoulders.

Nyx - Big flexi hair, thats the only word for it. I had fun making this one, then dancing around in it afterwards. Looks great in the new tips :).

Venus - By customer request, a modified version of the Aphrodite hair... bigger and longer with different bangs.

Bree - A beautiful curly updo held back in a bun with curly tendrils escaping. My fav hair of the set.

Sunny and Stoic - Mens and womens hair, with the back half held back in a short pony, the front bangs falling across the face.

Mustache - Well, its exactly what I said... a mustache :) 50L gets you the full color set available

Hair Fair 2007!

All hair this week is being sold exclusively at the Hair Fair 2007! If you don't want to brave the crowds the hair will be available on April 14th in my main store.

Olivia: A Medium length style with some flexi, curly over the shoulder... a very unique look
Sweet Kisses: This one was based on my older Sweet Glow hairstyle, but its been given a complete overhaul with a whole new look, new braids, new bangs, and flexi ends! Ultra cute!
Nicole: Ahhh curls! This tangled mass of curls is held back away from the face with a few barrettes, falling to just above the shoulders. A few flexi strands to give it movement.
Sasha: A fall of flexi hair down to the lower back, knotted and held back from the face, spiked carefully for a cute look :)
Pheobe: Short and cute, with the tips styled away from the face to create a flattering look. No flexi in this one.

General updates: Big Changes in the stores these past few weeks! The courtyard got a little smaller, Simplicity and Daeskins got a little bigger, and we have a new mens clothing store moving in!! The Lucky Chair got updated, a new Lucky Chair was added, and 5 hairstyles (Layered Bun, Mia, Lizzy, Mary Jane, Mary Sue) were shifted to clearance.

To Look for: NEW TEXTURE PACKS! I have developed 15 new textures of browns, reds, and blonds, and will be working on tipped/frosted/burnt hairs over the weekend. IF you want a particular color let me know in an IM (soon), and I will see if I can make it! I will be sending out a 'test' sample to all Goldie Locks group members later around Monday or so to get some feedback.
